Clear communication, and proper motivation, strengthens the bond
between you, and your pet. Our dog training is designed to give you
command and mastery over your pet, whether you are at home, on a walk, or at
the park.
Each situation is different, but we expect your dog to respond to you, no
matter where you happen to be..
Each program at the Neuman K-9 Academy, provides dog obedience training for
any breed. The various levels of training we offer, give you choices as to
the level of control you want to achieve.
Our In-Board Canine Academy is located one hour south of Minneapolis. We
provide training ranging from the basic on-leash obedience, to advanced
off-leash programs.
We also operate a Basic Training (Doggy) Boot Camp, that enhances general
obedience training, sharpens physical
conditioning, and offer assurance building skills. Our great off-site field
trips strengthen all your pet's new skills, in different environments.
We also operate a pet dog Boot Camp that enhances general obedience training with physical conditioning, confidence building, and off-site field trips.

Graduates of this four-week dog training program will master the following commands:
- Sit and Stay. Your dog will sit immediately after a verbal command or hand signal and hold position until you give the release word.
- Recall/Come. Your dog will come to you immediately on command, even with environmental distractions.
- Down and Stay. Your dog will lay down on command and stay in a down position until you give the release word.
- Heeling/Walking on a Leash. Your dog will walk on a leash without pulling, crossing in front of you, or lagging behind. Your dog will also sit automatically when you stop walking.

Graduates of this dog training program will also learn
proper etiquette: to meet and greet human companions without jumping up and to wait at the door until given a command to enter.
Upon course completion, you will receive a DVD of your dog executing these commands.
Commands for this program are available in Czech, Dutch, German, or French.
Graduates of this
four-week dog training program will master the following commands:

Graduates of this dog training program will also learn

- Heeling/Walking Off a Leash. You dog will walk next to you without forging forward, lagging behind, crossing in front of you, or leaving position. Your dog will also sit automatically when you stop walking.
- Place. Your dog will go to a specified place (i.e. a dog bed) and stay there until released. This is a valuable command for dogs that beg, bark, jump up, or need a 'time out' to calm down.

Graduates of Neuman K-9 Academy Level I/II: Basic Obedience are eligible to enroll in this
three-week course, which includes everything available in the Advanced Obedience Off-Leash Training program.

To register: We require that half the tuition be paid as a deposit to hold your place in the course. The remaining balance is due at the time of pick up and/or graduation.
We utilize techniques proven safe and efficient and recognized by canine training experts. If any of the programs listed here do not meet your needs, contact us for a customized training package. Our training facility is located in St. Peter, MN - just north of Mankato. We service all of Minnesota including Minneapolis and St. Paul.
